Lesson 81: The Definition Of learning Is Understanding And Remembering

Everything you know, as well as everything you know how to do, is in your memory.

How you feel about your friends is in your memory, how well you “understand and remember” the words in a song, how well you know how to use your computer is in your memory.

Remember, the best definition of learning is “understanding and remembering.”

In case you have forgotten, if you don’t both “understand and remember” the words to a Russian song, you haven’t learned the message or meaning of the song is about.

Here’s another example: you will not know how to play the musical piece until you “understand and remember” how to move your fingers on the strings of a violin with the correct bow pressure.

Or, until you“understand and remember” how to plant your feet to kick a soccer ball, you haven’t learned how to kick the soccer ball correctly.
