Lesson 67: The Most Important Thing is to Never Give Up

Here are just a few examples of why you should never give up.

Another friend of mine, Stephen King submitted the manuscript for his book “Carrie” to 30 different publishers but his book was rejected all 30 times.

He was so frustrated that instead of sending out his manuscript the 31st time he gave up and threw it in the trash.

Because his wife believed in him she retrieved it from the trash and asked him to try it one more time.

He did and the book Carrie was accepted and it was a big hit and turned into a movie! Since then has sold over 600,000,000 copies of all his books

Oprah Winfrey was fired from her first television news job because she was told that “she was unfit for television”.

But she never gave up and in 1998 she was given the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Kurt Warner was never drafted in the NFL but he never stopped trying to make it.

He worked stocking shelves in a supermarket while he played in a minor football league.

But, because he never gave up he became the MVP in the NFL in 1999 and 2001 and Super Bowl Champion in 2000.
