Lesson 22: Charles Duhigg And The Habit Loop

Charles Duhigg introduced us to The Habit Loop, which operates in the part of your brain responsible for controlling all your habits.

The Habit Loop comprises three essential steps: 1) the cue, 2) the routine, and 3) the thank you reward.

The more you comprehend these three components of Duhigg’s Habit Loop and how they function, the better equipped you will be to eradicate undesirable habits and establish new, beneficial ones.

It’s crucial to remember that Gauge is in charge of your Habit Center, where The Habit Loop operates.

Gauge is particularly fond of The Habit Loop that he manages within his Habit Center because it functions so effectively on its own. This is why you must continually instruct him on the behaviors and habits you wish for him to practice.
