Lesson Ten: What Is The Brain Part Two

Most people tend to equate words like “brain” and “mind,” assuming they are the same, but this is not accurate.

While both the brain and mind are located in the same three-pound mass within your head, they primarily serve different functions.

The brain is an incredibly complex network of 100 billion neurons that can communicate with 10 trillion cells throughout your body, orchestrating various functions every second, all without any assistance from the mind.

Conversely, the mind represents the conscious part of the brain’s 100 billion cells that enable you to think, reason, and make decisions.

In simpler terms, the conscious mind utilizes some of the brain’s cells to engage in thinking and decision-making, while the brain autonomously manages your body’s biological and physiological functions without requiring active input from your conscious mind.
