The first step to setting a goal is to make sure that each step of the goal is measurable.
For example, instead of saying, “I want to earn an A on my English test” cannot be measured.
Therefore, it is much better to say, “I will study for an hour each night before the day of the test to earn an A on the test at the end of the week.”
The more you practice measuring how long it will take you to achieve your goals the more you will learn about yourself and how long it will take you to study for the next test.
Most importantly, measuring the time it will take for you to accomplish your goals will give you a feeling of confidence and a better insight into how to plan your homework schedules in the future.
